About Ivana

 

Ivana Jovanovic is Sydney based photographic artist completeling a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) at the National Art School.

Throughout her practice she has been interested in the way philosophical and psychoanalytical theories have influenced contemporary photographic practice. She engages with contemporary theory via explorations of traditional photographic conventions, namely portraiture and the human body. Using various mediums from analogue film, digital photography to installation and photo books, Ivana investigates the liminal space between ourselves and the photographic image.
